Football schools and academies in Aktau 2026: where to send your child

In Aktau, children's football relies on state sports schools. Of the 12 addresses collected in the Conectico catalogue for the city, 6 are youth sports schools (DYUSSH), that is, budget sports schools with training groups by age and their own competition calendar. The rest: the football clubs FC Aktau and Batyr, the children's football school Goztepe and the futsal academy Jebe. One entry in the list, Life football, is an equipment shop rather than a section, and it is marked separately in the table below.

Short answer: if you need a regular section within the state system, start with the DYUSSH in your district. If your child is 5-7 years old and interest in the ball matters more than results, look at private clubs and the futsal academy: they more often take young children and it is easier to get a trial session. The full list with contacts is collected on the page football schools in Aktau.

How to choose a football school in Aktau

Start with the journey. Aktau is a compact city, the microdistricts are numbered, and a section in the neighbouring microdistrict is usually more convenient than a strong school on the other side of the city: training takes place two or three times a week, and a long journey quickly tires both the child and the parents. Note that some of the DYUSSH in the catalogue, judging by their names, belong to villages of the Munaylinsky district (Daulet, Kyzylsay, Mangistau, Akshukur) and to district centres of the region. For families from the suburbs this is the nearest option, while city residents should check the address on the school page in advance.

Next, look at the coach and the group size. A normal children's group is 12-15 people, the coach knows the children by name, explains the exercise rather than just running them around the pitch. Ask permission to sit in on a training session: within 20 minutes you can see how much time the child actually spends with the ball and how the coach reacts to mistakes.

The third point for Aktau is the weather. In summer there is heat and wind from the sea, in winter it is cold and windy, so check where the school trains in the off-season: whether there is a hall or an indoor pitch, or whether sessions are simply postponed. The futsal academy has a hall by definition, while clubs and DYUSSH have different conditions.

What to look at in the first session

Almost all sections offer one trial session. Assess simple things: whether the child is active or stands in a queue for the ball, whether they understand the tasks, whether they want to come again. For children aged 5-8 this is the only important criterion. Selection, workloads and tournaments will come later, and by that time you will already know whether the school suits.

DYUSSH or private club: what is the difference

State DYUSSH work by training groups: the child is enrolled for a year, training follows a schedule, teams take part in district and regional competitions. You can get in at the start of the season or during additional intake, sometimes the coach watches how the child moves. Private clubs and schools are more flexible: groups take on new members throughout the year, younger children are accepted more readily, classes are paid. The futsal academy is a separate format, a hall and a small pitch, which is good for technique and convenient in a city with such wind. The type of section is indicated in the school card in the catalogue, check prices and schedules directly.

From what age and what is needed to enrol

The minimum age differs at each school, it is not indicated in the catalogue, so ask on the first call whether there is a group for your child's age. For a trial session, sports clothing, footwear suited to the surface (trainers for the hall, boots or indoor shoes for the pitch) and water are usually enough. For enrolment in a DYUSSH, a birth certificate and a medical certificate are most often requested, private clubs may ask for the same when setting up a subscription.

Intakes and viewings that schools publish themselves are collected in the section open trials. For admission dates and the enrolment procedure in 2026, read the article Admission to football academies in Aktau 2026.
