Football schools and academies in Semey 2026: where to send your child

In Semey there are about two dozen children's football schools and sections: private schools with groups for little ones, a children's football club with two grounds, a futsal academy and district youth sports schools. The Conectico catalog for Semey contains 21 listings with addresses, and below we will look at how to choose a suitable school, what age children are accepted from and what is needed to enroll.

Short answer: for a child aged 5-8, look for a school near home, with a trial lesson and an age group. Several schools train at the same grounds: on Fizkulturnaya Street, on Zhambyla Street and on Bazdyreva Street, so first compare who is closer, and only then the coach and schedule. See the full list in the catalog of schools in Semey.

How to choose a football school in Semey

First filter: the commute. Training usually takes place two or three times a week, and if the journey takes more than 30-40 minutes one way, the child quickly gets tired of the route itself, and the parents of the logistics. Look at what is near home or school, and only then expand the circle.

Second filter: the coach and the group. In a good children's group there are 12-15 people, the coach knows everyone by name, explains the exercises and does not leave children standing in line for a ball. Ask permission to watch a training session from the side: in 20 minutes you can see how much time the child actually works with the ball and how the coach reacts to mistakes.

Third filter: the winter base. Semey has a cold winter, so check where the school trains from November to March: in a hall, in an indoor facility or on an open field with a break. This determines whether the child will train all year round.

What to look at during the first lesson

Almost all private schools offer a trial lesson. For a child under 8-9 years old there is one criterion: does he want to come again. Do not evaluate technique and results, at this age interest and the habit of a routine are more important. Selection by data and serious loads begin later, in sports groups.

From what age and what is needed to enroll

The minimum age is different for each school. Usually private schools take the youngest into play groups, and transfer them to the main training groups closer to 7-9 years old. See the exact figures for a specific school on its page in the catalog or check when enrolling.

For the first training session, sports uniform, sneakers or boots suited to the surface, and a bottle of water are enough. For registration, a birth certificate and a medical certificate are most often requested, but the list differs from school to school. If you plan to join the competitive squad and tournaments, a certificate will definitely be needed.

Schools announce their own recruitment and tryouts, there is no single schedule for the city. Current announcements are collected in the section open tryouts, and for more details on admission dates and the enrollment procedure, see the article Admission to football academies in Semey 2026.
